Members & Roles
Studio is multi-user. You invite teammates and give each one a role that controls what they can do. Manage it all under Settings → Members.
Roles
Every member has one of four roles:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read-only. See shows, controllers, media, and rules — but can't change or run anything. |
| Editor | Build and run the show: create and edit shows, lighting, audio, and Logic Rules; upload media; provision and configure controllers; deploy; drive Manual Control and Live Preview; update firmware. Can't invite members or change settings. |
| Admin | Everything an Editor can do, plus manage the team (invite/remove members, change roles) and the Studio's settings (WiFi, audit log, IP allow-list, billing). |
| Owner | Full control, including ownership-level actions for the Studio. A Studio always has at least one Owner. |
Only Admins and Owners can invite or manage members and open the settings pages.
Invite a teammate
- Go to Settings → Members → Invitations.
- Enter the teammate's email address and pick a role.
- Click Send Invite.
- Copy the invitation link Studio generates and send it to them (email, chat, however you like).
- The link expires in 7 days — if it lapses, just send a new one.
Pending invitations appear in the Invitations tab, where you can copy the link again or cancel it. Once accepted, the person shows up in the Members list.
Manage members
In the Members list you can change a member's role or remove them, from the menu next to their name. A few guardrails:
- A Studio must always have at least one Owner and one Admin — you can't remove or demote the last one.
- Removing a member revokes their access immediately.
Member limits
Your plan includes a set number of members (shown at the top of the Members tab). If you reach the limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade before you can invite more.
